After the successful 50th show season, when the tailfin was paint in union flag colors, the Red Arrows aerobatic team announced new design also including the flag.
At the new design the flag is just on half of the tailfin, as the previous was at all tail. This time the new design will remain not just for the current airshow season, but also for the years ahead.
I really do not understand why Reds stripped off the union flag from whole tail to paint it on the rear half. My personal opinion is that former design was better.
