US NAVY Flight Demonstration Squadron Blue Angels will resume the 2011 airshow schedule at Quad City Air Show in Davenport, Iowa, on June 18-19.
The new “former 2010” team's leader Capt. McWherter, who was recall to lead the Blue Angels again after CDR Dave Koss leave the squadron, is now ready to lead the squadron again completing the training program.
CDR Dave Koss quit the Blue Angels after a Lynchburg Regional Air Show incident on May 22, when he performed lower-than-normal maneuver leading the diamond formation.
