Following the tragic loss of Capt. Jeff Kuss on June 2, the Blue Angels seek for his replacement at #6 opposing solo position.
The same procedure was in 2007, when Lieutenant Commander Kevin "Kojak" Davis died in crash during airshow at Beaufort, South Carolina. A few months later, his position within the squadron was given to former Blue Angels pilot LCDR Craig Olson, who flew the same position before he leaves the team in 2005.
Therefore, we can expect that Blue Angels will return to their normal duty - airshows, in short time.
