Black Eagles T-50B

Republic of Korea Air Force aerobatic team Black Eagles performed the first demonstration with new painted T-50B aircraft on Oct 9 at Osan Air Base, Korea. Only four of the team's planes are painted in this new livery in black, white and golden eagle figure painted at the bottom of the fuselage. The new paint scheme was chosen from 200 suggestions.

The other four Black Eagles airplanes are still in standard for ROKAF white-red paint scheme, as they are loaned from 1st Fighter Wing at Gwangju AB. The remaining four T-50B will complete the team, after the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) finished plane's assembling until the end of 2010. T-50B is a special modification for Black Eagles equipped with two smoke tanks, white smoke generator, internal cameras and brightly wingtip lights. The loaned white-red T-50 are equipped with two white smoke pods at each wing.
