The US Air Force demonstration squadron Thunderbirds will resume participations at airshows, starting from this weekend at Ocean City Airshow in Maryland.

The Thunderbirds suffered a crash on June 2, when #6 Maj. Alex Turner, ejected safely from his F-16C after a flyover at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado Springs.

After the crash, the squadron cancelled two airshows from their show schedule, Kirtland Air Show and Rhode Island National Guard Open House Air Show.

On June 7, The USAF Demonstration Squadron resumed training flights, but only with five F-16s. A few days later Maj. Alex Turner was clear to fly again, thus completed the full Thunderbirds formation.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
