On Apr 5, 1991 from the 237th Guards Proskurov Aircraft Demonstration Center in Russian Air Force, based on Kubinka Air Base was established the second Russian aerobatic display team – Russian Knights. From the beginning they used three Sukhoi Su-27 and three two-seater Su-27UB fighters, painted in blue, red, white and yellow, but today they performed with four Su-27 planes.
Despite the rare demonstrations of the team and almost none abroad from the last years, Russian Knights stays a unique team, flying heavy fighter as Su-27.
