Lt.-Col. Maryse Carmichael became the first Snowbirds female pilot ever, when she was selected to fly in #3 position in November 2000. On the next year she became the Snowbirds Executive Officer.
Now she returns to Snowbirds, but this time like Commanding Officer. In difference to many of the other military demonstration teams, Snowbirds Commanding Officer is NOT the team leader.
