Aerobatic Yakkers

The Aerobatic Yakkers are the only private display team in Romania. Every year, the team performs at more than 30 airshows in Romania, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

The team flies three Romanian built YAK-52 TW’s, all equipped with white smoke generators. Founded in 2006, the Aerobatic Yakkers are famous for their signature display (“Air Bandits”) performed at dusk together with Jurgis Kairys flying Su-26. Former Romanian Aerobatic Team members, the three pilots fly commercial aircraft on a daily basis.

The Aerobatic Yakkers are based in Băneşti, Prahova, where they run a small airfield and develop various training programs. One of the main events at Băneşti Airfield is “Safety Demo”, a program designed for training pilots to recover from unusual flight attitudes.

The pilots:

• Ioan Postolache – Formation Leader – born in 1963, over 6000 flight hours
• Dan Ştefănescu – Right Wing – born in 1967, over 10 000 flight hours
• Dan Conderman – Left Wing – born in 1969, over 9000 flight hours
