The “Black Diamonds” were an aerobatic display team in the Royal Australian Air Force.

The Black Diamonds was first formed in 1961 and flew four CA-27 Mk.32 Sabre aircraft, which were manufactured by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation in Victoria, Australia.

This team, from No. 75 Squadron, lasted until 1964 when squadron began to convert to the Mirage III fighter. In 1961, the team consisted of F/Lt B. Weymouth (leader), F/Lt J. Tynan, F/O’s M. Baston and Michael Parer. Vance Drummond was a later team leader. The initial "hat" markings on the aircraft tails were later replaced by a "black diamond".

The Black Diamonds aerobatic team only used aircraft with serials beginning with A94-3xx, except in 1963, when aircraft # A94-352 went in for a major servicing and was replaced with a 900-series aircraft, #A94-970, which flew with the team until the squadron’s transition to the new Mirage fighter.
