The “Deltas” were an aerobatic display team in the Royal Australian Air Force.
This team was formed in 1970 and flew seven (five main formation and two solo aircraft) Mirage III fighters based at Williamtown. They performed at displays around Australia for the RAAF’s 50th Anniversary in 1971.
All Deltas aerobatic team aircraft were equipped with white smoke generators but wore the standard camouflage colour scheme.
