Simon's Sircus Sea Vixen

Simon's Sircus was the Royal NAVY (Fleet Air Arm) aerobatic display team flying six Sea Vixen FAW.2 airplanes.

The team was formed in March 1968, after No. 892 Squadron was disembarked from aircraft carrier HMS Hermes to Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton. The initiator of the team's creation was Lieutenant Commander Simon Idiens, a former member of Fred’s Five. Probably this was the reason that the team named to it's founder and leader – Simon's Sircus. The team's airplanes were painted in standard dark gray and white colors with yellow and black wolf's head badge on the fins. Simon's Sircus  pilots had a real lioness for a mascot.

The first public display of the team was on May 9, 1968 at Biggin Hill Air Fair, follows by demonstrations at Brawdy, Yeovilton and Farnborough. At the end of the season the team flew coordinated displays with No. 809 Squadron display team “Phoenix Five”, which flew Buccaneers. At the end of 1968 the Simon's Sircus display team was disbanded.
