The "Black Knights" were the USAFE (United States Air Forces in Europe) aerobatic team formed in 1954 from the 38th Tactical Bombardment Wing at Laon Air Base in France.

The team flew five B-57 Canberra bombers, which made this team unique. The team's bombers were painted in overall black and orange colors. In 1957, the "Black Knights" performed at the Le Bourget Paris Air Show in 1957.

One of the pilots flying as the slot was Colonel John W. Harris.

In 1958, General De Gaulle announced that all nuclear weapons and their delivery aircraft had to be removed from French soil by July 1958. So, the one and only tactical bomber aerial demonstration team had to be disbanded.
