At the end of 1920's, the "High Hatters" aerobatic team was formed from the US Navy's VF-1B squadron based on the carrier USS Saratoga.

The team flew three Boeing F2B-1 fighters.

On some displays, their planes were tied with ropes.

The "High Hatters" performed mostly on the west coast of the United States.

The team also flew with Charles Lindbergh at one point.

"High Hatters" aerobatic team was disbanded finally at the beginning of the 1930s.
